The Ghost Walks! Slots

The Ghost Walks! plays like a Halloween storybook: candlelight, bats, and a creaky mansion show up on the reels while a grinning ghost hangs around as the game’s key symbol. It’s a 5-reel, 20-payline video slot that keeps the rules simple, then leans into two crowd-pleasers - a Free Games feature and a red-or-black risk option for players who like to push a win a little further.

The headline for feature-hunters is the Free Games cap: up to 300 free spins. That’s the kind of number that can turn an ordinary session into a long bonus stretch when things line up.

The basics: 5 reels, 20 paylines, and symbols that tell you what matters

This is a 5-reel setup with 20 fixed paylines and 1 coin per line, so you’re not spending time fiddling with line counts. Your total bet is mainly driven by coin size, and there’s plenty of range - coin sizes run from 1 up to 100, and the listed max bet hits $2,000.

Symbol-wise, it’s the usual mix of letters (A, K, Q, J) and themed pictures: the Candelabrum, Bat, Gravestone, Mansion, Chest and Scull, plus a Man and Woman. The The Ghost Walks! Logo also shows up as a premium-style icon, fitting the old-school “title on the reels” vibe.

The Ghost is the scatter symbol here, and it’s the one to watch because it’s tied directly to the Free Games Feature.

Where the wins get interesting: Free Games and the Risk option

The main event is the Free Games Feature, triggered by the Ghost scatter. When it hits, the slot shifts from “quick base spins” to “let it ride” territory, because the free spins can stack up to a maximum of 300. That high ceiling matters even if you don’t reach it often - longer bonus runs give your bankroll more time to absorb variance and give premium symbols more chances to connect across the 20 paylines.

Then there’s the Red-or-Black Risk Game. After a win, you can choose to gamble it by guessing red or black, trying to increase the payout. It’s a simple mechanic, but it changes the feel of the session: you’re making a direct choice between locking up progress or taking a swing for a bigger number.

A quick note on mindset: the risk game can be fun for small-to-mid wins when you’re comfortable with the possibility of giving them back, but it’s usually a rough trade for wins you’d hate to lose.

Smart play tips that actually fit this slot

Because paylines are fixed at 20 and coins per line are set to 1, your main control is coin size - that makes bankroll planning straightforward.

Here are a few practical ways to approach The Ghost Walks!:

Start with a coin size you can comfortably sustain for a while. The biggest “moment” in this game is Free Games, so you generally want enough spins to give the scatter a real chance to show up.

Treat the red-or-black risk game like a seasoning, not the meal. If you’re going to use it, consider limiting it to smaller wins or to a single attempt, so it doesn’t quietly erase steady progress.

Adjust coin size instead of chasing. After a cold streak, it’s tempting to jump stakes, but this slot’s upside is tied to features and streaks you can’t force. Keeping bets consistent is often the calmer way to play.

A haunted spin that’s easy to learn, with a Free Games target worth chasing

The Ghost Walks! keeps the core gameplay clean - 5 reels, 20 paylines, recognizable symbols - then gives you a clear reason to stay engaged: landing Ghost scatters and seeing how far the Free Games Feature can stretch, all the way up to 300 spins. Add in the optional red-or-black risk game, and it’s a good fit for anyone who likes classic horror theming with a bonus structure that can extend the action when it hits. Play within your budget, keep the risk feature in check, and let the ghost do what it does best - show up when you least expect it.
